facing an uphill battle is like walking a tightrope-once you are there you have to keep going.



2. better safe than sorry ----flashlights

better safe than sorry is to flashlights as a boy scout is always prepared. 



3.the apple doesn't fall far from the tree - twins



4.love is blind -  beauty is in the eye of the beholder



5. ignorance is bliss -  the more you know the better you are



6. birds of a feather ---sorority girls


7. easy as pie --- stamp of approval


8. it is only a white lie.---speak your truth


9. when pigs fly --- herding cats


10. every cloud has a silver lining  -- when you wish upon a star


11. the clock is your enemy  --- crunch time

A Simile is a literary device that compares two things in an interesting and vivid way. Words such as "like" and "as' are used to compare two ideas. 1. He was as quiet as a mouse As he entered his father's hospital room, he was as quiet as a mouse. 2. smelling like a rose After winning the lawsuit, she walked out the court house smelling like a rose and waving her hands in the air with joy. 3.
