 1.prologue

The prologue of the play began with the main character speaking to the audience.

The symbolic seeds in the prologue of the story become the gigantic sunflowers at the end.


2. epilogue

The epilogue of the story discussed how the hikers ultimately reached their destination on horseback.

Their were three endings in the play and the epilogue gave hints on which fit the best.


3. merengue

The peaks of the merengue were almost 3 inches tall thereby giving the lemon pie a delicious appearance. 

The trifle dessert has four layers of strawberries and bananas divided by three layers of merengue.


4. vague

The car dealer  was very vague about the delivery date of my new car, stating possibly in two-three weeks.

The directions to his house were too vague for his friends to find the location.


5. morgue

The man that died in the car accident was sent directly to the morgue instead of the hospital.

The morgue was overloaded after the earthquake too many lives.


6. tongue

The tongue of the chameleon rolls out of its mouth when it captures insects.

The little boy was having a temper tantrum and stuck his tongue out at his baby-sitter.


7. fatigue

It was easy for the family to experience fatigue after a twelve hour flight from London.

The flu caused the woman to feel continual fatigue for over a month.


8. dialogue 

The dialogue between the newscasters was impromptu instead of scripted. 

The students in the high school play wrote the bi-lingual dialogue with the help of their Spanish teacher.


9. synagogue

Orthodox Jews often use the Yiddish word shul (shool) to refer to their synagogue.

In the USA, synagogues are sometimes called temples.


10. catalogue

The Sears catalogue used to be a popular book that people looked forward to getting in the mail to get clothing and tools.

The library's card catalogue is a thing of the past since the computers were installed.


11. colleague

His colleague in his psychology class helps him with lessons he has missed by sending them via email. 

The colleague in the office next to me likes to listen to classical music.


epilogue : 

William Shakespeare's play : Romeo and Juliet

" A glooming peace this morning with it brings; The sun for sorrow will not show his head.

Go hence to have more talk to these sad things. Some shall be pardoned, and some punished.

For never was a story of more woe than this of Juliet and her Romeo."
